Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
roodswap is a non-custodial crypto swap and bridge app. You connect your own wallet and sign every transaction yourself. There are no accounts, no email, no sign-up, no KYC, and no custody. This policy explains what we do and do not collect, how the limited data needed to run the app is processed, and the choices you have. It takes effect on the date shown above. If we change it, we will post the new version here and update that date.
Overview
roodswap is privacy-first by design. It aggregates prices across dozens of DEXs and bridges through several leading routing engines, compares them, and picks the route with the most output after fees and gas. You always see the minimum you will receive before you sign.
You do not create an account. You do not give us your name, email, or password. You connect a wallet you already control and sign each transaction yourself. Funds never touch roodswap. They move from your wallet straight to the destination token or address. We cannot hold, freeze, move, or recover your funds. Crypto transactions are irreversible.
Because there is no account and no login, we hold almost nothing about you. What little is processed exists only to fetch quotes, route and submit the transaction you choose to make, keep the service secure, and improve it.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect any of the following:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or password.
- Government ID, KYC data, or any identity verification.
- Your private keys or seed phrase. We never see them, ask for them, or store them. Anyone who asks you for them is trying to steal from you.
- Custody of your funds. Your assets stay in your wallet until you sign a transaction that moves them.
- Any account profile, because there are no accounts.
Information Processed to Run the App
To fetch a quote and submit the transaction you sign, the app necessarily processes:
- Your public wallet address. This is needed to build quotes, route your trade, and set the destination for what you receive. For cross-ecosystem swaps that need a wallet connected on both sides, the destination address is also processed.
- The details of the on-chain transaction you choose to make: the tokens, amounts, chains, and route involved in a swap, bridge, sell, or send.
- Limited technical data such as your IP address, device and browser type, and basic usage analytics. This is used for security and to improve the service.
- Local storage and cookies used only to remember your wallet connection and your preferences. We do not use them to build an advertising profile of you.
How Information Is Used
We use the limited information above to:
- Fetch quotes across routing engines and show you the best available route.
- Route and submit the transaction you sign, over premium RPC infrastructure so it lands fast.
- Keep the service secure and detect abuse.
- Understand how the app is used and improve it.
Third-Party Services
roodswap depends on independent providers to work: routing and liquidity providers, RPC infrastructure providers, analytics providers, and the wallet software you already use. To do their job, each of these processes limited data, such as your public wallet address, the transaction you are making, or basic technical data.
These providers act under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. Your wallet software, in particular, is chosen and controlled by you, and its handling of your data is governed by its own terms. We select providers we consider reputable, but you should review the policies of the wallet and services you use.
Blockchain Data Is Public and Permanent
Every transaction you sign is recorded on a public blockchain. This is how blockchains work, and it is outside our control.
Once a transaction is confirmed, your wallet address, the amounts, the tokens, and the timing are public and permanent. Anyone can view them. They cannot be edited, hidden, or deleted by us or by anyone else. Treat your on-chain activity as public information.
Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and browser local storage for a narrow purpose: to remember that your wallet is connected and to keep your preferences between visits. This keeps the app usable without forcing you to reconnect every time.
You can clear this at any time. Disconnect your wallet in the app, then clear your browser's cookies and site data for roodswap, or use your browser's private or incognito mode. Clearing this data resets your connection and preferences; it does not affect your funds or your on-chain history.
Data Retention
We keep data to a minimum. Because there are no accounts, there is no stored profile to retain.
Technical and analytics data is retained only as long as needed for security and to improve the service, and is discarded or aggregated after that. Local storage and cookies live in your own browser and remain until you clear them. On-chain data is permanent by nature and is not something we can retain or delete on your behalf.
Your Choices
You stay in control:
- Disconnect your wallet at any time to end the app's access to your address.
- Stop using the app whenever you want. There is no account to close.
- Clear your browser's local storage and cookies to remove saved connection and preference data.
- Choose which wallet, network, and transaction to use. You sign every transaction, so nothing moves without your explicit approval.
Children
roodswap is not intended for children. It is not directed to anyone under the age of majority in their jurisdiction, and such persons must not use the app or provide any information through it. If you are not old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live, do not use roodswap.
International Users
roodswap is jurisdiction-neutral and available globally where lawful. Wherever you access it from, the same practices in this policy apply.
You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including any local rules on crypto trading. If the app is not lawful for you to use where you are, do not use it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we post the revised version on this page and update the effective date shown above.
Your continued use of roodswap after a change means you accept the updated policy. Check this page periodically.
