How to connect your wallet

Connect an EVM or Solana wallet to roodswap in three clicks, understand what connecting does and does not share, and disconnect when you're done.

Before you start

roodswap is non-custodial. There are no accounts, no email, no sign-up. Connecting a wallet is the only thing you do to start trading.

You need a wallet you already control. Any standard EVM wallet works (for example MetaMask or Rabby), and any standard Solana wallet works (for example Phantom or Solflare). roodswap does not create a wallet for you and does not hold your funds.

Connect in three steps

  1. 1
    Click Connect

Use the Connect button in the top right of the app. A list of wallets appears.

  2. 2
    Pick your wallet

Choose the wallet you already use. Your wallet opens and shows a connection request.

  3. 3
    Approve the request

Approve the connection in your wallet. roodswap now sees your public address and can build quotes. You sign every actual transaction separately.

EVM vs Solana wallets

EVM wallets cover Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, Ethereum, BNB Chain, and the growing list of newer EVM chains. One EVM wallet connection works across all of them.

Solana wallets cover the Solana chain. A Solana wallet is separate from an EVM wallet.

Cross-ecosystem swaps, like SOL to ETH, need both a source and a destination address. Connect a wallet on both sides so roodswap has somewhere to deliver the output. You can have an EVM wallet and a Solana wallet connected at the same time.

What connecting does and does not share

  • Shares: your public wallet address, so roodswap can read balances and build quotes.
  • Does not share: your seed phrase, your private keys, or any password. roodswap never asks for these and never sees them.
  • Does not do: move, hold, or approve anything on its own. Connecting only grants read access to your public address.
  • You stay in control: every swap, bridge, sell, and send is a transaction you sign yourself in your wallet. Nothing leaves your wallet without your signature.

Security note

[ NOTE ]

roodswap will never ask for your seed phrase or private keys. If any screen asks for them, it is not roodswap. Close it.

How to disconnect

Click your address in the top right, then choose Disconnect. roodswap drops the connection and stops reading your address.

You can also disconnect from inside your own wallet by removing roodswap from its list of connected sites. Disconnecting does not affect your funds or any completed transaction. Your funds always stay in your wallet.
