Which wallets can I use?
Any standard EVM or Solana wallet works with roodswap through the connect modal — extension or mobile — and you always keep custody.
Any standard wallet works
roodswap is not tied to one wallet brand. If you already hold crypto, you can almost certainly use the wallet you have.
On the EVM side, any standard EVM wallet connects — the ones people already run, like MetaMask, Rabby, or similar. On Solana, any standard Solana wallet connects, like Phantom or Solflare. You do not create a roodswap account. There is no email, no sign-up, no KYC. You just connect the wallet you own.
How to connect
- 1Open the wallet modal
Click Connect. A modal lists the wallets available in your browser and offers a QR code for mobile.
- 2Pick your wallet
Choose a browser extension you already have installed, or scan the QR code with a wallet app on your phone.
- 3Approve the connection
Your wallet asks you to approve. This only shares your address so roodswap can build quotes and transactions. It does not move funds or grant spending access on its own.
Extension or mobile
Browser extension wallets connect directly through the modal. Mobile wallets connect by scanning the QR code the modal shows — the transaction then appears in your phone wallet to sign.
Either way, the wallet stays in your control. Every swap, bridge, sell, and send is signed by you in your own wallet before it goes out.
Cross-ecosystem trades need both sides
Same-chain and same-ecosystem trades need one connected wallet. Moving between ecosystems — for example SOL to ETH — needs a wallet connected on both the EVM and Solana sides, so there is a valid destination address to receive the output.
Connect both before you start a cross-ecosystem swap and the flow will have somewhere to deliver your tokens.
You always keep custody. roodswap never holds your keys or your funds — assets move straight from your wallet to the destination, and roodswap cannot hold, freeze, move, or recover them. Crypto transactions are irreversible.
